Summary: In the article is examined creative way of historian, writer, publicist D.L.Mordovtseva and his contribution to developmentof science.On the basis of the  archived documents, handwritten and published materials the main aspects of his scientific activity are analysed. Attention is accented onhistorical researches of scientist.
